Add extent

This function stores the currently visible extent of the view or updates an existing one (if the view has been zoomed using the tools Zoom In
or Zoom Out
, not the visible extent will be stored, but the rectangle you were dragging with the mouse).
button.New: If you don't enter a name but only a fixed scale (see below), the view will only be zoomed to the given scale - its extent is kept.
Access Key: If you insert the ampersand "&" in the name of the extent, the following char can be used to access this extent in the menu. Thereby often used extents can be assigned with an access key. If you assign the same key to multiple extents, only the first one in the alphabetic order can be accessed with it.
Note: If this scale is chosen smaller then the current one or the window size of the view will be enlarged afterwards, the visible extent will get larger as originally defined. If this scale is chosen larger than the current one or the window size of the view will be reduced a lot, the defined extent can't be fully displayed in the view!
Note: When this option is not active, size and position of the view stay unchanged and the visible extent will be larger than the desired extent (depending on the aspect ratio of the view).
